Sex during gestation
In the first or last three or months, pregnant women who historically have placenta previa, gave premature delivery should be careful when having sex.
Sexual relations in such cases will be a stimulation to make the womb pulsate, pushing the foetus outside.
Cases should (that) need minimum restriction.
If the foetus is in the first three months, the consequences can be stomachache, threaten of premature delivery, if in the last three months can be premature birth.
Therefore, for cases the women have stomachache or bleed after having sex, do not have sex at least 2 weeks later and only have sex when being consulted and prescribed medicines to prevent foetal derangement by obstetricians.
Next comes the case when the mother has placenta previa in the last 3 months. For these cases, in several last months, the foetus and placenta develop much, the cervix stretches to prepare for laboring, making the sticked placenta torn and bleed.
Cases that need restriction
It is the case of an expectant mother at the mid three months of gestation who is threatened to give premature birth. For this case, if having sexual relations, she needs watching carefully; it's best to prepare medicine which reduces systaltic uterus in anticipation of stomachache.
For cases when the mother is malnourished, puts on very few weights, pale skin, the foetus is undernourished or the expectant woman has .but shows no abnormal manifestations, she needs very careful watch and needs to consider when intercourse. She needs to be monitored and treated in time if there's anything unusual.
For an expectant mother, sex in any cases though special or not, all needs to be smooth, no strong movements, the positions must not weigh down on the mother's belly, the time must also not last long, as long as both feel satisfied.
Monitoring after sex
Like healthy pregnant women, they need special watch after sex to find unusual body's reaction. Symptoms such as stomachache, bleeding must be looked after and told to the doctor.
To sum up, sexual relation in pregnant women is a serious matter, it not only requires both husband and wife sympathetic, encouragement, respect and understanding about each other but also caution, responsibility as well as knowledge of pregnancy.
